Cards for Ukraine Hop
Hello friends. Today I am sharing a card I made for the #CardsForUkraine Instagram Hop. My card is a reminder that Ukraine is in our thoughts and also represents peace and hope. I encourage you to visit all the wonderful cards in the hop and spread some love for Ukraine.
To make my card, I started with the sky using a Lawn Fawn Stitched Square die that is ink blended using distress oxides in Salty Ocean for the base and Faded Jeans/Chipped Sapphire for the outer shadows.
The silhouette leaves around the border of the sky is from MFT's Wonderful Woods stamp set. I also added some stars using a white gel pen.
I chose this little bunny sitting in the moon for this card because the image conveys hope. The image is from Mama Elephant's Wish Upon a Star stamp set and colored using Copics and Ohuhus. It is propped up on the background for dimension.
For a little more meaning behind the card, I added a little cluster of flowers to the moon. The yellow flowers are from Pawsome Stamp's Cup of Tea stamp set and represents sunflowers, which are the flower of Ukraine. Behind the sunflowers I have added some white lavenders for peace and a little greenery as well - these are from Mama Elephant's Stems and Sprigs stamp set.
Finally I added a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh's Simple Sentiments stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can appreciate my card.
