Hello Bluebird New Release: Life is But a Dream

 

Hi friends! I'm so happy to be back as a guest designer for Hello Bluebird's new release coming out on August 11th at 7pm MST! For today's card I am using the stamp set Life is But a Dream paired with the North Fork Slimline Scene Die. The grassy hills and distant trees of the die are colored using copic markers. The sky is ink blended using Speckled Egg distress ink and the water is ink blended using Broken China distress oxide.

The images from the stamp set are colored using Copics as well. The center of my card is the bear and fox having a good time fishing and I placed supporting images to create little scenes around the card as well. There is a bird trying to catch a fish in the background. Another bird is riding the boat waves. And the 3rd bird is looking at the fish on the line. Of course there is another fish checking out the bear's bait and a nosy duck in the background observing everything as well.

The images in the background are adhered directly onto the die and the images that are closer are propped up using foam tape. For final touches I added some white highlight using a gel pen and adhered a sentiment, heat embossed in white on black cardstock.
