Pretty Pink Posh: 9th Birthday Blog Hop!

Hi friends! Today is Day 3 of 4 for Pretty Pink Posh’s Birthday Blog Hops! These are extra special hops celebrating 9 incredible years for the company and there are tons of goodies for the occasion!

For starters, hop along all 4 hops to see all the goodies and inspiration from the design team and some very special guests! Be sure to comment along the way as well so you can be entered to win one of EIGHT $25 gift certificates! (More details and hop list are at the bottom)

Pretty Pink Posh is also offering 10% discount using code CELEBRATE9 and if you spend $125, you will receive this fun Sweet Treats stamp set with coordinating dies shown below!

I have created 2 cards to celebrate this special occasion. For my first card, I used the Large Celebrate Shadow Die over a stenciled background. I die cut the word from bold gold glitter cardstock and created a soft shadow using 2 layers of vellum over 1 layer of white cardstock.

I always love a pop of black so I added a heat embossed sentiment underneath from the Wish Stamp Set as well. Both the word and the sentiment are propped up on the background using foam tape.

To create the background, I used the Streamers Stencils using 2 Concord and 9th's inks: Ballet Slipper and Grapefruit, then trimmed it down to be slightly smaller than an A2 card size. Finally, the background was propped up onto a white card base and I finished off the card by adding a few dew drops.

My second card is a clean and simple card created using only 1 stamp -- a solid balloon from the Birthday Balloons Stamp Set. I stamped the balloon 4 times using 4 different inks so that they were slightly overlapping. The inks I used from left to right were Concord and 9th's Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, Sorbet, and Ballet Slipper.

Once I had the balloons stamped out, I used black cardstock with the "for you" sentiment die from the Gift Card Bag Dies. I wanted the sentiment to overlap the balloons just a little bit, but also stand out in the white space below so once I decided on the position, I went ahead and trimmed down the background to be slightly smaller than an A2 card.

The background was propped up on a white card base and I added a few Metallic Gold Pearls to balance out the design a bit more.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like my cards! Make sure to enter the giveaway and check out the rest of the bloggers (details below)! Happy hopping!
