Pretty Pink Posh: May Blog Hop!

I am sharing a cheerful pattern card today that I made using the new Get Well Soon stamp set and it’s coordinating dies. I absolutely love making pattern cards and knew I had to make one with this set as soon as I saw the adorable variety of small stamps it came with!

I started out by stamping a bunch of the little images out and did some simple coloring using a mix of Copics and Ohuhus(O).

• Blue: BG68(O), BG4(O)
• Pink: R12(O), R21(O), R19(O)
• Yellow: Y3(O), Y6(O)
• Green: GY4(O), GY7(O), GY8(O)
• Brown: E43, E42, E41, E40

Next I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. Then I inkblended an A2 background using distress oxide in Salvaged Patina and trimmed it down just a hair so that when I adhered it to a white background you could see just a little border.

I picked one of the larger sentiments and arranged my stamps around it on the card to see how everything would fit. Once I found the placement I was happy with, I embossed the sentiment in white, adhered the stamps to the background using foam tape, and trimmed down the edges of any stamps that were poking out over the edge.

The blue background was adhered directly to the white and for final touches I used a white gel pen to add a small bit highlight.
