For my project today, I paired the new Watermelon Stamp Set with the new Layered Watermelon Stencils to create a sweet thank you card!
I started with the stenciled background. I ink blended the center of the meaty part with distress oxides in Festive Berries and faded the part closer to the rind with Abandoned Coral. Next I blended the peel using Mowed Lawn and the seeds with Black Soot.
The stenciled background was then trimmed down to be slightly smaller than an A2 card size and adhered to a white card base.
Next I stamped out a whole watermelon, a couple slices, and some leaves and colored the images using Ohuhu markers.
- Red: R3, R1, Y4, R19
- Rind and leaves: G3, GY4, GY7
- Melon light green: GY6, GY5, GY4, GY7
- Melon dark green: G1, G3
I used the Watermelon coordinating dies to cut out the images and decided how I would like them to appear on a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die cut.
Once I found the placement that I liked, I stamped out the sentiment before adhering the images using foam tape. Finally, I adhered the wonky rectangle to the stenciled background and added some white highlight to my images.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like my card! Make sure to enter the giveaway and check out the rest of the bloggers (details below)! Happy hopping!
