Pretty Pink Posh: August Blog Hop!

 

Hi friends! Glad you are joining for Day 3 of Pretty Pink Posh's August Blog Hops with a spooky cute Halloween release! For my card today, I used a couple cupcakes from the Halloween Cupcakes stamp set as the focal point and created a fun background using small stamps from the Boo to You stamp set.

The images were colored using a mix of Copics (C) and Ohuhus:

Yellow: Y3, Y121

Orange: YR7, YR6

Black: NG06, NG03

Green: GY4, GY7

Blue: B000

White/tan: E41(C), E40(C)

Gray: W3(C), W1(C)

Once I colored the background I die cut a circle out of it where the cupcakes would fit and adhered it to a white A2 card base. Then I die cut the cupcakes out using the Halloween Cupcakes coordinating dies and propped them up in the center.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed "You're spooktacular" from the Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set in white on black and die cut it out using a banner from the Sentiment Strips dies. I propped it up under the cupcakes.

For finishing touches I added a few sequins and some white highlights to the cupcakes.
